We are very pleased to showcase the newly designed website for the Ampthill Building Company, built and launched earlier this month. The client couldn’t be happier with the finished result, and visitor numbers are growing steadily, turning casual enquiries into real prospects for ABC going forwards.
Owner Paul contacted Imagefix last year with regards to updating ABC’s online presence. He felt there was a need to have a website alongside his existing Facebook page to showcase the varied services on offer, and to help drive people towards contacting them. They produce high quality and very attractive building work for both domestic and commercial clients, and felt that a website was the missing link for potential clients looking for more in depth information on the company.
With all this in mind, we got down to business. To start off, ABC needed a new logo and brand identity. We designed a simple yet strong graphic of their acronym. Once signed off, we could build the website. We came up with a sleek, contemporary design, incorporating geometric angles and lines that echoed the logo shape, and a clean, white background to best complement ABC’s images and new brand colours. Designed in WordPress, the site is fully responsive and includes multiple calls to action to encourage customer interaction.
Next came content. Alongside their great imagery, ABC wanted to highlight the wide range of work they can undertake for people. Covering both domestic and commercial properties, they are capable of undertaking a huge range of projects, from laying patios to building double-storey extensions. Pulling on our strength in writing great content for the web, our experienced copywriters got to work on the text whilst investing the time to understand ABC’S business values and purpose. When it comes to builders, nothing is more valuable than a good recommendation, so we added a scrolling bar showing some of the great reviews they’ve received from recent customers.
Finally, we ensured that the site was optimised for SEO and speed, to secure the best possible rankings through search engines, and also confirmed that the pages viewed and loaded correctly when viewed on mobile and tablet. We do these final checks with all our sites; the majority of Internet searches are now done through mobile devices rather than desktop browsers, so all the sites we produce are optimised for viewing on a range of media.
Alongside the growing list of local Ampthill Businesses we have worked with, we’ll continue to assist ABC as the site evolves, ensuring the content is kept up to date and relevant, maintaining their SEO ranking.
